It is Christmas time in the city, sparkling lights are all around and a big tree is decorated in the center of the square. The main streets are draped with lights across the roads, including the street I travel on daily to school. Additionally, the small streets and alleyways are decorated with family style items. Two of the apartments in my building have decorated their balconies, making it feel like the holiday season.
I am leaving for a tour of Spain and Portugal over the next two weeks, so you won’t hear from me for a while. I will be sure to post about my exciting adventures when I return, in between the studying I will have to do in preparation for the exam period starting January 9. Some highlights I am very excited about in my travels are the Christmas Markets of Madrid and the warm weather that awaits me in the south of Spain.
